Hip Dysplasia

Just a quick note from the author

Hip dysplasia is a subject near and dear to my heart after having mild hip dysplasia myself and my daughter having more severe hip dysplasia. Hip dysphasia in the Chloe Prime Diaries is my little nod to hip dysplasia. At five months old my daughter went into a spica cast (which goes from armpit to ankle holding the legs out in a frog position) and the OT at the hospital looked at my poor little bub and said, “Spica cast? Really? Couldn’t they have invented something better by now?” I thought at the time, I certainly hope so.

About Hip Dysplasia

Hip dysplasia refers to a variety of conditions from having loose hip joints, to having shallow hip sockets, to the hip socket not being formed properly. Previously people thought hip dysplasia could be treated with double nappies but unfortunately having the extra padding between the legs could at times cause it or make it worse.
